The match between Chelsea and Manchester United lived up to the promise of being a tight encounter that kicked evenly balanced.
The Blues continued to dominate the first half against the Red Devils, who were forced back defending as the home team pressed even harder.
Man United were content to let things go as they were, knowing that the pressure was on them to find a way to move forward and make something happen.
Chelsea maintained their domination as the game progressed, but their only problem was finishing off their opponent, which seemed difficult as the game went on without a goal.
As the first half drew to a close without a goal, both teams were still unable to find a breakthrough despite numerous opportunities.
It appeared to be more of the same as the second half began, with the Blues resuming their domination and looking to create opportunities, which sadly did not materialize.
Man United finally broke through in the 50th minute of the second half, when Jadon Sancho scored against Edouard Mendy, who had little chance as the scoreboard read 0-1.
The game went on with Chelsea trying everything they could to make a comeback, which proved impossible until Thaigo Silva was fouled inside Manchester United’s area, where they were unable to keep it down.
In the 69th minute, Jorginho stepped up and smashed it past David de Gea, bringing the score to 1-1. Thomas Tuchel was celebrating for the Blues, who had finally seen their efforts pay off.
Things continued to look tight between the two teams, with back-to-back chances generated between the two teams that could have resulted in either side gaining the lead and doing something positive.
